The purpose of the main techniques of cosmetic dentistry is to improve the aesthetic appearance of the smile by using several disciplines of dental medicine such as: teeth whitening, composite, composite and ceramic inlays, ceramic veneers, ceramic crowns, minor orthodontic treatments and enameloplasty.

A crown is made of porcelain or metal and is placed on a tooth in order to restore it or to strengthen it. A bridge, otherwise known as a fixed partial prosthetic, is used to replace missing teeth and cannot be removed by the patient.
