A few days ago, the Quebec government announced the resumption of elective dental care, i.e. non-urgent, starting June1. While this is good news, we take the responsibility to ensure the health and safety of all our patients and their families, as well as our employees, very seriously. To that end, our whole team has been working diligently over the past few weeks to provide us with all the necessary equipment to ensure the protection of all while promoting Quebec and local suppliers as much as possible.
Since the beginning of the crisis, we have made every effort to respond to your dental emergencies, either in the clinic or by phone, in an extremely strict compliance with the standards. Unfortunately, we have had to postpone many patients and we sincerely apologize. However, the time has now arrived that we will receive our patients in our new premises. We look forward to seeing all who are waiting impatiently.
On personal note, just before the health emergency was declared, we were in the middle of our plan to move the clinic to its new location at 2400 Victoria Street. Although this move has been more difficult due to the situation, having a completely new clinic has given us the opportunity to implement all the changes that the health situation requires (closed treatment rooms, ventilation system according to the highest standards, organization of spaces to allow social distance and system of high performing HEPA filters in all rooms). As a result, we have fulfilled and surpassed the recommendations of the College of Dentists and those of the Ministry of Health and Social Services.
Thank you for your understanding and we look forward to welcoming you soon to our new clinic!
Here are some of the changes we have implemented:
During your appointment, please wait outside, when possible, until we contact you by phone.
The secretaries are now behind a plexiglass division and wear procedural masks.
For all patients, we provide disinfection of hands upon entering the clinic and the use of an antiseptic mouthwash before the start of treatment.
New high performance HEPA filter system are installed in all rooms.
More time is reserved between each patient to allow complete disinfection of the room and common areas.
New protective equipment for dentists, hygienists, and assistants: high-level protective masks, visors, and protective gowns.
Thank you for your kind attention.
The health of our patients, your families and our employees has always been our priority and will continue to be. We are eagerly looking forward to seeing you at our new location on June 2nd (right next to the new Metro Lachine and the new Caisse Populaire)!
Dr. Jean Philippe Leblanc, Dr. Christine Koran, Dr. Stefan Ciobanu, Dr. Priscilla Leblanc and the entire team.
